Power supply control system for an asynchronous motor fed by AC mains via a speed controller (10); the speed controller including a rectifier bridge (11) linked to the mains, an intermediate DC circuit (12) equipped with a capacitor (16), an inverter (13) equipped with switches and linked to the phase windings of the motor, characterised in that the system includes means for controlled recovery of the speed of the motor after a break in the power supply to this motor.
