PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To encode a one-dimensional data stream into two-dimensional data arrangement in which high frequency components are reduced. SOLUTION: A one-dimensional data stream (202) is segmented (204) into plural data chunks (206). Each data chunk is segmented (208) into plural bit groups (210). Each bit group is encoded (211) into a two-dimensional data arrangement (214) according to a restriction that is defined in advance. Plural two-dimensional data arrangements are connected to make (216) a data strip (218). Next, plural data strips are put together to form (220) a perfect two-dimensional data block (222). For decoding, a two-dimensional data stream is segmented into plural small two-dimensional arrangements, and each arrangement is decoded into multi bit groups. They are put together to form a long chunk and thus, a one-dimensional data stream is formed. |
