摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the service life of the battery of a radio terminal by broadcasting the continuous transmission number-of-times of call termination signals determined as system information by a control channel by a radio base station controller and turning the power source of a reception circuit ON and OFF by a specified ratio in a determined cycle by the radio terminal. SOLUTION: The radio base station controller broadcasts the continuous transmission number-of-times of the call termination signals determined as the system information by the control channel. The radio terminal is provided with a radio transmission/reception part 1 for performing the modulation and demodulation of radio for performing communication with a radio base station, converting audio signals and control signals t6 the format of radio signals and sampling the control signals from the format of the radio. A power source ON/OFF control part 7 turns the reception circuit ON:OFF by the ratio of M:N in the decided cycle for the power source of the radio transmission/ reception part 1 by an operation mode specified by a user instructed from a control part 5, the continuous transmission number-of-times of the call termination signals reported by the control channel and a battery residual amount indicated from a power source residual amount detection function part 8.
