PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record information of every caller continuously with respect to incoming calls. SOLUTION: Portable information equipment having a automatic answering telephone function that transmits a reply message automatically to an incoming call request controls communication via a telephone line. The information equipment is provided with a telephone control part 12 which discriminates an origin of the incoming call request in the case of receiving the incoming call request and with an incoming call information recording part 18 that records information relating to the incoming call request for every origin of the incoming call request discriminated by the telephone control part 12 and transmits a reply message prepared for every caller in advance corresponding to the origin of the incoming call request discriminated by the telephone control part 12.
