PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pogo pin capable of preventing the failure of electrical continuity, and increasing packaging density by containing a suitable amount of a conductive fluid in a case with a pin or a spring housed inside. SOLUTION: A conductive magnetic fluid 1 is retained in a case 4 and as the material of a ball 3 and the case 4, ferromagnetic metal is used. Also, mercury is preferable as the conductive magnetic fluid 1. The pad of an electronic board is set so as to press the pin 2 of a pogo pin via many connection rings arranged vertically as pairs. As a result, the magnetic fluid or mercury 1 functions as a lubricant, and restrains the appearance of metal powder or the like. Furthermore, the appearance of metal powder, if any, does not result in the improper operation of the pin 2. Also, even when metal powder or the like appears, electrical continuity is properly maintained via the mercury 1 because the metal powder is contained therein. Furthermore, the mercury 1 can be retained at the prescribed position, using magnetism, and free from a restriction due to the installation direction of the pogo pin. In this case, a mercury retaining seal material is not used and the diameter of the pogo pin can be reduced. Thus, packaging density can be increased. |
