PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform correction in order to secure the satisfactory gradation with no variance of the toner density between respective devices, which is set after the execution of ACC (automatic gradation control) that is caused by the variance of CCD spectroscopic characteristics of a scanner. SOLUTION: An image forming device consists of a scanner 401 which optically scans and reads an original image, an image processing circuit which converts the input image signals received from the scanner 401 into the output image signals via an image signal conversion table and outputs these image signals, a laser optical system which writes the image information onto a photosensitive drum according to the output image signals, a development device which forms the images on the transfer paper by toner, an image signal generation means which generates plural gradation patterns, and a CPU 415 which produces and selects the image signal conversion tables based on the read signals of gradation patterns which are read by the scanner 401. The read signals of gradation patterns consist of plural signals with different spectral sensitivities. A RAM 417 stores the correction coefficients for those signals with different spectral sensitivities. Then the read signals are corrected based on the correction coefficients stored in the RAM 417. |
