PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a durable seal by pressing and fixing a porous packing to an electrolyte film after impregnating it with electrolyte solution. SOLUTION: Although porpous material is required for a packing, it is acceptable if it is porous to the extent that a diameter of a hole is enough for electrolyte solution to impregnate, and its material is preferably a polymer in polytetrafluoroethylene and the like. A resin film in perfuolocarbonsulfonic acid is preferably used as the electrolyte film. When sealing by adhering this macromolecule electrolyte film to the packing and uniting them, they are adhered by applying a pressure of for instance about 50-200kg/cm<2> under a heated condition, after the packing is impregnated with the electrolyte solution. It is required that the electrolyte solution does not deteriorate the packing and the electrolyte film by chemical action, and therefore, an adhesive composed of a component in the same family of the electrolyte film is preferable. |
