PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolyte fuel cell and its manufacturing method in which a gas seal of a cell body can be easily and surely formed to facilitate the confirmation of the gas seal. SOLUTION: An air pole 2 is formed on one side of a cylindrical solid electrolyte 3, and a fuel pole 4 is formed on the other side thereof. A cylindrical cell body 8 includes collector 5 which is exposed on the outside and which is electrically connected to the air pole 2 or the fuel pole 4. A ceramic-cap shaped sealing member 11 comprising a base part 14 and a cylinder part 13 is fitted to the outer peripheral face of one end part of the cell body 8. When the base part 14 has an outside diameter D1 and the cylinder part 13 has an outside diameter D2 , ratio D1 /D2 ranges from 0.74 to 0.88 in the sealing member 11. |
