PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display with enhanced visibility function. SOLUTION: A display 1 has a transparent globe-shaped housing member 3. In the center of the housing member 3 a transparent cylindrical member 4 is arranged having on its inner surface a translucent light storage material 7 for visual recognition. An inner space surrounded by the light storage material 4 is divided into a plurality of areas by a partition plate 8 made of a reflective light storage material, and a blinkable light source 9 exciting the light storage material 7 and the partition plate 8 by applying light thereto is installed in each of the plurality of areas. The cylindrical member 4 comprises an outer lens 5 and an inner lens 6, with the light storage material 7 preferably sandwiched between the outer and inner lenses 5, 6. The housing member 3 may be a single-globe constructed of the outer lens 5 or of a double-globe where the outer lens 5 is located inside with a transparent protective cover 13 provided. A reflection member 12 made of a reflective light storage material may be provided on the inner surface of the housing member 3 to enhance the light- collecting ability of the light source. |
