PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the traveling durability of a floppy disk having a ferromagnetic metallic thin film by providing the surface of the magnetic film of a floppy disk or the surface of a protective film disposed on the magnetic film with monoalkyl ester phosphate and fluorine-contained carboxylate or perfluoropolyether as lubricants. SOLUTION: This magnetic disk is formed by applying the monoalkyl ester phosphate and the fluorine-contained carboxylate or the perfluoropolyether as the lubricants to a disk surface which may come into direct contact with a slider. The lubricants exhibit extremely good lubricity under broad environments and contribute to an improvement in the traveling property even in such sliding at which the disk and the slider come into contact with each other at a high speed. The effects are as larger and beyond expectations than in the case the respective lubricants are used alone.
