OPTICAL INFORMATION READER AND IMAGE SENSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fast output the image data and to prevent deterioration of the reading operability by synthesizing the image data stored in an image sensor after outputting them in every divided block. SOLUTION: The data of a photosensor 41 are sent in sequence to the horizontal part registers 43a and 43b via the vertical part registers 42a and 42b. The registers 43a and 43b output the received data to the video signal output terminals 46a and 46b for each element string and in a right-left divided form. At the same time, the outputted video signals of blocks are converted into the digital signals by the A/D converters 51a and 51b and then stored in the image memories 52a and 52b. A microprocessor 53 synthesizes the image data of both memories 52a and 52b and reads the bar code information. In such a constitution, the stored image data can be outputted in a half time in comparison with the conventional system.
