PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card reader which can deal with a card having a wide print area. SOLUTION: Concerning a card reader 22 provided with a recording head 3 for performing either recording or reproducing of information to or from the recording layer of a card 21 at least, a printing head 23 for printing information onto the thermoreversible coloring layer of the card 21 and the eraser head 24 for erasing the information printed onto the thermoreversible layer, the eraser head 24 and the printing head 23 are linked so as to be connected/ disconnected to/from the card 21 while being interlocked in the state of being independently inclined, the eraser head 24 and the printing head 23 are connected/disconnected by one driving mechanism so that the card 21 having the wide print area can be dealt with and a casing is miniaturized. |
