PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a POS(point of sale) system for improving operability and operation efficiency at the time of an item return processing, the accuracy of item information and customer service. SOLUTION: In the POS system provided with one or plural POS terminals 2(2-1-2-n) and a shop information management device 1 communication-connected to the one or plural POS terminals, when the item return processing is generated in the POS terminal 2, original transaction data are retrieved from the transaction data base of an object POS terminal or the shop information management device from the information of an original receipt, the information of the retrieved original transaction data is displayed on a screen and a return product is selected. The information for registering the selected return product to transaction data is outputted and transaction information generated by erasing the return product from the original receipt is outputted as a re-issued receipt. |
