PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery protecting element which is easily miniaturized in a simple structure, stored in a battery without greatly changing the structure and manufacture of the battery and accurately fused with the detection of the temperature and current value of the battery. SOLUTION: A through-hole 6 is formed in a substrate 5 having conductive layers 3, 4 on both faces of an insulating layer 2 to make continuity between the conductor layer 3, 4. One conductor layer 3 is independently parted into a land pattern 3a and a positive electrode terminal side pattern 3b with a conductor cutout 7 and a low-melting point metal layer 8 is connected between both patterns 3a, 3b and covered with a protecting member 10 to form a fuse 11. A protecting element 1 which has safety valve 15 formed with a sheet blocking member 13 fixed to the through-hole 6 is integrated with a positive terminal 16 via a PTC element 18 and then stored in an electrode reactor to form a battery. |
