PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the deflection and to damp the transmission of vibration, by providing a double wall having an internal wall and an external wall on a composite shelf of a shelf frame supporting a plurality of disc drivers, arranging a reinforcing material between the internal wall and the external wall and a damping layer between the reinforcing material and the internal wall or the external wall. SOLUTION: Internal walls 18, 20, 22 and 24 are fixed together to form a box frame and external walls of a shelf frame is made up of lower and upper U-shaped cover part pieces 26 and 28. In the cover part pieces 26 and 28, a lower wall 27 and an upper wall 32 form a double wall structure with internal walls 20 and 24 of an inner frame or side walls 29 and 30 does it with each half of internal walls 22 and 18. Filler/reinforcing materials 34 and 37, acrylic damping layers 36 and 38 and adhesive layers 39 and 40 are arranged between the internal wall 20 and the lower wall 27 and the internal wall 24 and the upper wall 32 to adhere thereby achieving structural rigidity and strength. This can damp flexible vibration of a composite shelf thereby reducing vibration to be transmitted to the disc driver. |
