PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently prevent illegal utilization with an amount lower than an original toll while utilizing the difference of toll corresponding to a car type by discriminating whether vehicle side car type information provided on the side of vehicle for showing the car type of vehicle corresponds to responder side car type information provided for a portable part for showing the car type of vehicle or not. SOLUTION: A vehicle response unit 90 is constituted by mounting an attachable/ detachable portable part 110 on a holder 100 undetachably installed on a vehicle 10. On the side of vehicle 10, a vehicle side car type information holding means 67bA is provided for holding the vehicle side car type information showing the car type of vehicle 10. At a portable part 110, on the other hand, a responder side car type information setting means A is provided for setting the car type information of vehicle 10. Further, a discriminating means B is installed either on the side of vehicle 10 or at the portable part 110, and it is discriminated whether or not the vehicle side car type information held by the vehicle side car type information holding means 67bA corresponds to the responder side car type information set by the responder side car type information setting means A.
