PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the traveling durability of a floppy disk having a ferromagnetic metallic thin film by providing the surface of the magnetic film of the floppy disk provided with the ferromagnetic metallic thin film on at least one surface of a flexible base or the surface of the protective film disposed on the magnetic film with an org. acid and amine as lubricants. SOLUTION: This magnetic disk is formed by applying the org. acid and the amine as the lubricants to the disk surface which comes into direct contact with a slider. The lubricants exhibit extremely good lubricity under broad environments and contribute to an improvement in the traveling property even in such sliding at which the disk and the slider come into contact with each other at a high speed. The org. acid includes carboxylic acid, phosphate, etc., and the amine includes primary or secondary amine compd., etc. The lubricants have the higher durability than the durability of perfluoropolyether which is considered to be an extremely good lubricant for hard disks. |
