PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To check thermal bend of a shaft caused by compositional elements in a rotor slot without turning the shaft through the use of a displacement gauge disposed in the axial direction of the shaft by inserting a pressure jig into a space under the slot and heating a coil while loading a face pressure. SOLUTION: For two sets of slot models each comprising a shaft 1, a wedge 2, a creepage block 3, a coil 4 and an interlayer insulating material 5, the coil 4 is provided only for upper two or three layers and a hydraulic jack 6 is inserted into the gap thus arranging the compositional elements in parallel. A push plate 8 and a heat shielding plate 7 are inserted between the coil 4 and the hydraulic jack 6 so that a face pressure can be loaded uniformly to the coil and the heat is not dissipated from the coil 4. A displacement gauge is disposed on the surface of the shaft at a specified position in the axial direction of the slot model and the coils 4 are connected in series and heated by conducting a DC current thus checking thermal bend of the shaft without turning the shaft. |
