PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more speedily generate three-dimensional data. SOLUTION: In a routine 108, a CPU 101 calculates the normal line of each polygon within read three-dimensional shape data, calculates a regulated inner product from the normal line of an adjacent polygon and calculates an inner product from its chrominance information to obtain the inner product sum of those. Then, in a routine 109, the CPU 101 judges the inner product sum of the sets of all the adjacent polygons by a prescribed threshold value and extracts a contour.
