摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode material for a lithium secondary battery having a large discharge capacity by forming the negative electrode material of a negative electrode active material, which is formed of coke and graphite at an addition facto near a value for generating percolation transition and which can store and discharge lithium. SOLUTION: As a negative electrode material 1 for a lithium secondary battery, a negative electrode active material, which is formed of coke 10 and graphite 11 and which can store and discharge lithium, is used. At this stage, an addition factor of graphite 11 in the negative electrode active material is set at a value about ±10% in relation to a value near the value for generating percolation transition. With this composition, a mean distance between the grains of the graphite, which are scattered in the coke 10, is reduced, and a conductive path 12 is formed between the graphite grains, and electric resistance value of the negative electrode active material 1 is remarkably reduced. The graphite 11 and the conductive path 12 work as an electrical conductive network in the negative electrode active material, and while discharge capacity of the coke 10 is increased by the collecting work of the graphite 11 so as to improve the discharge capacity of a lithium secondary battery.
