PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To search for kind information on a corresponding unit according to a mount position as a clue by using a fault analytic dictionary by providing a means which holds mount position information on the unit in a device to be diagnosed, information showing a combination kind of constituent components, and kind corresondence information showing correspondence relation. SOLUTION: A fault management part 11 gathers kind codes from respective constituent components to generate a kind management table 3 showing the correspondence relation between the respective mount positions and gathered kind codes in a memory 12. Then the management part 11 once receiving a report on fault occurrence detection from an arithmetic processing unit E1 gathers fault information from the constituent component E1 having generated the report and uses the fault analytic dictionary 2 to specify the mount position where the fault has occurred according to the gathered fault information. Then the management part 11 retrieves the kind code representing the unit kind corresponding to the position information from the kind management table. Thus, the kind of the unit to be replaced in case of the fault can be pointed out while the conventional fault analytic dictionary is used. |
