PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an information recording medium having an optical translucent film easy in production and low in variation with time by forming the optical translucent film with a silicon compd. and subjecting the silicon compd. to a heat treatment in a high oxygen atmosphere SOLUTION: The first recording layer 4 having a rugged pit 3 of a recording data is formed on an upper surface of a transparent substrate 2 with a stamper. Just after forming the optical translucent film 5 as the silicon compd. film on the first recording layer 4 in a mixed gas atmosphere containing gaseous oxygen and gaseous nitrogen, the transparent substrate 2 on which the optical translucent film is introduced into the high oxygen atmosphere and the heat treatment is applied to the optical translucent film 5. In this way, an oxidation of the optical translucent film 5 is accelerated and a stabilized layer 5a is rapidly formed on its surface. Therefore, the stabilized layer 5a acts as a blocking layer of the oxygen, nitrogen and water vapor, and after forming some amount of the stabilized layer 5, the oxidation at inside is hardly caused. |
