PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the cooling capacity of a driving element while reducing the dimension of a fan in the direction of height thereof by fixing the driving element to the horizontal surface of a housing having high heat quantity thereby cooling the driving element forcibly. SOLUTION: Metal housing 1 of a brushless motor M for turning a fan 10 is provided with cooling fins 1c,..., 1e. In order to produce an air flow around the cooling fins 1c,..., 1e, the fan 10 is also provided with an auxiliary blade 10c and a driving element 16 is fixed tightly to the horizontal surface of the housing. Furthermore, a control circuit board 14 of the brushless motor M is secured to the housing 1. According to the arrangement, cooling capacity of the driving element 16 can be enhanced while reducing the dimension of the fan in the direction of height thereof. Since unnecessary stress is not generated the driving element 16 and the control circuit board 14 when the driving element 16 vibrates integrally with the motor M, electrical reliability can be enhanced. |
