FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: present invention describes method of preparing industrial detergent based on organic dicarboxylic acid derivatives. Dibasic acid anhydride is first treated with sulfuric anhydride hydrate ((SO3)m(H2O)n) at m:n ratio of (1-3):1 for 15-20 min and total dibasic acid anhydride to sulfuric anhydride molar ratio of 1:(3-5), and reaction mixture is kept at 21-80 C for 30-40 min. Preparation of industrial detergent does not require recovery and purification of reaction products from impurities since reaction occurs under optimum conditions at high rates.
