The secondary electron multiplier shaped body (10) is of semiconductor material and has, several conductive electrodes and a bore or a channel. The body is of barium titanate semiconductor ceramics with a resistance-temperature characteristic, whose rise in the operational temperature regions is not negative. Preferably the body is formed by cylindrical polygonal or differently shaped tubes. The tubes may be stacked or interconnected. The configuration depends on the shape of the tubes. Alternatively, a plate with bores, at right angles to the electrodes, may be used. |
