FIELD: manufacture of laminated honeycomb panels of titanium alloys. SUBSTANCE: honeycomb filler is manufactured of a strip, and diffusion welding of filler with casing plates is performed. The strip is preliminarily heated by laser beam to a temperature exceeding the alpha - beta transition temperature. Strip edges, having a width equal to four to six strip thicknesses, are cooled down to a temperature below the alpha - beta transition temperature. Thus heat treated filler strip remains stable at welding on any surface. EFFECT: enhanced quality of joint.
