The invention relates to a beam arrangement in which beams 9 support wall panels and, between vertical beams 9, there is at least one horizontal beam 1 which interacts with a vertical beam 9. At least one end of the horizontal beam 1 is arranged so as to slide transversely in relation to the longitudinal direction of the vertical beam 9, cutouts 13, 15 being formed in the vertical beam 9 in order to receive the end of the horizontal beam 1 in such a manner that the lower edge 16, 16a of the cutout 13, 15 freely supports the horizontal beam 1, there being holding devices 6, 6a at the end of its complete section, which interact with said lower edge 16, 16a when the horizontal beam 1 is in its outermost position.
