An adaptor plate for a dental articulation unit comprises a surface (14) which can be located on a complementary assembly pedestal on the unit, and an opposite surface (5) for connection to a jaw model. The plate (1) enables the surfaces (5, 14) to be connected. The plate pref. comprises two sections (2, 3) which are made of plastic, esp polyoxymethylene.
