An information processor such that the physical burden on the user operating it in a GU1 environment is light, the operating environment is pleasant, and accurate pointing is possible. The information processor is characterized in that its graphical user interface has a pointing device with built-in stimulus generating means for giving a physical stimulus to the user's finger; picture source information which is the source of the image displayed on the display screen, is compared with the coordinate data on the cursor moving on the screen according to information on the movement of the pointing device; and drive signals for driving the stimulus generating means are generated at a timing related to relativity between a plurality of picture elements on the screen and the display position of the cursor and supplied to the pointing device.
