<p>Fibrous material ribbons coming separately from a drawing or feeding mechanism are brought together at an open joining point. The twist imparted by the twisting device continues past this point. The ribbons remain exposed between the joining point and th clamping line of the output roll pair to unimpeded continuation of twist. Specifically, an adjustable thread-calming and guide element is arranged in a recess between the joining point and a balloon guide, central to the ribbons, so that the latter form an equal-sided triangle and the thread angle is almost zero.</p> |
