PURPOSE:To secure a comfortable ride even in the running in a rough terrain same as that in a city area by providing a height regulating device which makes it possible to regulate the installing length of a bumper without converting the initially set load of a suspension spring and to convert the stroke. CONSTITUTION:In a plain city area running condition, the pressure oil at the upper side of a car height regulating cylinder 161 is fed to a car height regulating device 160, the total stroke lt is from the lower side of the piston 142 of a dumper cylinder 141 to the upper side of a stopper rubber 146 in the perfectly contracted condition, a suspension spring 144 can be contracted by a single rider, and the foot contacting property is improved. On the other hand, when the vehicle enters a rough terrain running condition and the pressure oil is fed to the cylinder 161 from a lower port 166, the installing length is converted from L1 to L2 to increase the car height, the initial set load of the suspension spring 144 is not changed because a spring shoe is still, and the stroke lt of the bumper is increased but the rebounding stroke amount is not changed. In such a way, even in a rough terrain running with a high car height, a comfortable ride same as in a plain city area can be obtained. |
