The invention concerns an inline skate consisting of a boot (1), which comprises a sole (2), and a plurality of roller elements which are disposed in the region of the sole (2) and are rotatably mounted in the longitudinal direction of the latter one behind the other in bearing blocks (4). The axes (5) of the roller elements extend at right-angles to the longitudinal direction of the sole (2) and the bearing blocks (4) with the roller elements form part of a holder element (6), the boot (1) being detachably secured to the holder element (6). The object of the invention is to provide an inline skate having a detachable boot (1) which can be secured and detached simply and rapidly and displays exceptional properties when used in the detached state for walking and, in particular, exhibits the overall degree of hardness conventional in known sports boots, but the handling of the inline skate not being impaired by the substantially soft boot (1). To that end, the boot (1) comprises at least in the region of the sole (2) a strengthening element (11) designed in shape- and/or material-specific manner so as to be flexible in the conventional rolling direction of the foot and, in the opposite direction, almost ideally rigid and/or semi-rigid.
