<p>A method of manufacturing a porous carbon stock material by treating a carbonized coal obtained by carbonization of a carbon compound with a halogen, wherein a carbonized coal having a hydrogen content of 0.1 to 5.0 wt. % or a carbonized coal obtained by carbonization of a carbon compound at a temperature of 250 to 1200 °C is used; or a method of manufacturing a porous carbon stock material by treating a carbon compound with a halogen, wherein the carbon compound comprising a stock carbon compound and/or a carbon compound provided by heating a carbon compound at 250 °C or lower is used. It is possible to obtain a porous carbon stock material having a superior adsorption performance to conventional ones as an adsorption material for gas separation and an excellent storage performance for electrochemical energy.</p> |
