Shoe closure via criss-crossed laces

The lace ends (4.1) of the closure can be laid in a hole (6) in a second holding element (5) and held tight by this. After passing through the lacing in the one part (1,2) the laces are led to the second part (2,1) and there held tight by the holder (5), using thickened parts (4.2) of the lace to hold this in the relatively narrower hole (6). The hole is itself undercut (7) so the thickened part sinks into this when the lace is tightened. The lace can be fitted with a number of thickened parts composed of secondary mouldings for preference, and the lace ends have a grip piece (4.3). The lace ends can be passed through third holders (8) as they pass to the second holding element in each case, with holders set back in relation to holders, prior to running the laces back if need be round the second holding element. First and/or third elements (5,8) have a mushroom shape forming an integral moulding having an expanded channel inside matching the profile of the lace, and straddled by cross grooves taking the thickened parts (4.2) of the inserted lace.
