The invention pertains to a method for processing sewage sludge into humus through a complete stuffing cycle, consisting in charging in a first cycle a first polder with sewage sludge up to a set height. Then, the water contents of the liquid sewage sludge is reduced, preferably by draining the first polder and by sowing fine-rooted rapid-growing plants, including pasture grass. The plants in the first polder then enter a growth period, the end of which means the end of the first cycle. Several polders may so be used with a time-shift. The duration of a cycle is approximately 12 months.
