Improvements are proposed to the steering wheels of motor vehicles in order to eliminate the play which exists between the cover of the airbag module and the steering wheel structure, in order to avoid the need for delicate adjustments, by means of which a first covering of a stronger material is provided, on which a second, softer covering or material cover is arranged, this cover being adjusted to the structure of the steering wheel without the possibility of any looseness or relative displacement, said cover being that which is responsible for elastically absorbing the deformations produced by any pressure exerted thereon, all the aforesaid also making it possible, alternatively, for the lower contact of the horn circuit to be able to be formed in the actual metallic structure of the steering wheel. <IMAGE>
