Process and device for automatic adjustment of the pressure in vortex spinning nozzles, based on the frequency of rotation of the yarn within said nozzles. In an optoelectronic cell 3a and 3b, arranged at the exit of the nozzle, an electrical signal is generated when the yarn, in its rotational movement, crosses (passes through) said cell. The electrical signal generated is filtered and introduced into an electronic system for treating and processing the signal. The electronic system developed makes it possible to determine, in less than one second, the instantaneous frequency of rotation of the yarn within a vortex nozzle in the form of a series of pulses, each one of which corresponds to one rotation of the yarn inside the vortex chamber. <IMAGE>
