A method for treating a deep-drawn battery cell collector casing (2), the casing having a cylindrical wall presenting inner and outer surfaces, comprising indenting the outer surface with a pattern of indentations of depth sufficient to result in formation of protuberances (4) on the inner surface without penetrating the wall or destroying the continuity of plating on the inner surface, the indentations being formed by movement relative to the cylindrical wall of indenting elements supported for radial movement relative to the cylindrical wall by a structure surrounding the wall during indentation. |
