An adjustable (32) binding strap (12) for use in a soft boot snowboard binding (10). The binding strap preferably comprises a unitary binding member (16) which has an ankle section (18) connected to a toe section (22) by a midsection (20), and preferably has a relatively large surface so as to reduce pressure points and spread pressure over a correspondingly large area of the foot of the user.
