<p>The mass is obtained by (a) preparing pellets having length of 5 - 35 mm, (b) heating the pellets at a temp. 15 degrees C > fusion pt. to 10 degrees C fusion pt. so that an adhesive layer is formed on at least one surface of the pellet and maintaining the pellets together in a non-coherent mass, (c) applying pressure to compact the pellets so that all pellets are in contact and maintaining pressure until the adhesive layer is spread throughout matrix of pellets and (d) removing pressure. This mass of agglomerated pellets has low density, high internal specific surface and is easily friable when reqd. It can be readily stored and transported.</p> |
