[Also in Division B3] Means for supporting a mobile reciprocating hammer rock drill 2, comprises a first pattern 3 having the required arrangement of holes 14 to be drilled, a second pattern 4 adjustably supported on a pillar 10, a continuous slot 15, 18 in each pattern, cut-outs 16, 19, in the slots aligned with the holes, and a drill support 1 having members 5, 6 for engagement in the cut-outs. Each of the holes 14 has a sleeve 24 fixed therein, and the drill steel 21 is guided in the sleeves by a bushing 23. In operation, two holes are first drilled into the rock face, pattern 3 is fixed thereto by bolts 8, and is prevented from turning by stops 9. Member 5 of support 1 is inserted into a hole 17 and moved along slot 15 up to the first cut-out 16. Member 6 is similarly inserted in slot 18 of template 4, and the latter is positioned on pillar 10 by a bolt. 12 which is located in one of the openings 11. The first hole is drilled, whereafter the. support is moved to the next cut-out and the next hole is drilled. |
