<p>In a pressurising apparatus for subjecting a fuel injection line (1) having a sealing nipple (3) at least at one end to a greatly increased internal pressure, wherein the sealing nipple which has a main sealing surface (5) which in normal operation is pressed against a co-operating sealing surface (6) of a counterpart portion (7) of an engine or a fuel injection pump can be pressure-tightly pressed against a counterpart portion (7') of the pressurising apparatus, to protect the main nipple sealing surface (5) the counterpart portion (7') of the pressurising apparatus has a co-operating sealing surface (22) which comes into pressure-tight engagement with an auxiliary sealing surface (14) of the sealing nipple so that upon being clamped into the pressurising apparatus the main nipple sealing surface (5) is not exposed to a deforming loading.</p> |
