<p>In the present invention there is disclosed a compound for protecting plants, particularly wood species against damage caused by forest game and containing 5 to 25 percent by weight homopolymer of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate and/or copolymer of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate with methacrylic or acrylic acid in weight ratio ranging from 99:1 to 80:20 being dissolved in water/ethanol mixture in the ration in the range of 80:20 to 0:100, whereby in this solution there is suspended a milled rock, particularly limestone, kieselguhr, slag and bentonite in an amount up to 70 percent by weight The compound is prepared in such a manner that 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate or a mixture of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate with methacrylic or acrylic acid in weight ratio ranging from 99:1 to 80:20 in water/ethanol solution is brought for a period of at least 24 hours in spontaneous polymerization by the action of 0.1 to 2 percent by weight of oxidative-reducing initiation system, particularly the sodium bisulfite/ammonium persulfide system in the presence of milled rock, particularly limestone, kieselguhr, slag or bentonite in an amount ranging up to 70 percent by weight.</p> |
