<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing excellent in wear resistance under the condition of water infiltrating in large quantity. SOLUTION: At least one of an inner ring and an outer ring is formed using material relatively higher in wear resistance than a rolling element. At the time of comparing the wear state of a rolling bearing in oil lubrication and water lubrication, in case of oil lubrication, the sticking force of abrasion powder, generated in the bearing, to a wear face is weak, and even though sticking once, the abrasion powder is easily separated, while in case of water lubrication, the generated abrasion powder sticks firmly to the wear face and is not separated. In water lubrication, when rolling bearing parts formed of material different in wear resistance are combined, the generated abrasion powder is apt to selectively stick to the part formed of material superior in wear resistance, and the subsequent wear amount is reduced by an extreme degree by the protective action of the stuck abrasion powder. Material higher in wear resistance is therefore used for the fixed ring easy to wear.</p> |
