PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply a preload by a bearing itself by housing preload generating mechanisms due to spring force on the back sides of outer rings divided into two. SOLUTION: Preload generating mechanisms 5 are respectively housed in outer rings 1 divided into two, for example a housing hole 6 of desired depth is provided on the back 1a side of the outer ring 1 from the back 1a side toward the thrust direction, a piston 7 with flange is inserted therein, a coil spring 10 is arranged between a flange part 8 and the inner bottom face 6a of the housing hole 6, and the piston 7 is constituted so as to be movable in the thrust direction. The piston 7 is projectingly provided with a projection 9 on the back 7a side. The coil spring 10 can generate appropriate preload without shortening the fatigue life of a bearing at being pressed and enlarging friction moment or temperature rise. The housing holes 6 are provided by one or a plurality of pieces in the circumferential direction. Consequently at assembling, by pressing the projection 9 by a thrust receiving component, the preload is generated in the coil spring 10. |
