PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of preventing the occurrence of a defect in an image caused by toner remaining after a transfer. SOLUTION: In the image forming device, the cleaning effective width on a photoreceptor drum (image carrier) 1 of a cleaning blade (cleaning member) 5 is set larger than the longitudinal dimension of an intermediate transfer drum (intermediate transfer body) 2 and the longitudinal dimension of the intermediate transfer drum 2 is set larger than those of an electrifying roller (electrifying member) 4 and a transfer belt (transfer member) 3. Thus, the toner stuck to the electrifying roller 4 and the transfer belt 3 can be retransferred to the intermediate transfer drum 2 over the whole areas in the longitudinal directions of the electrifying roller 4 and the transfer belt 3 and all the toner retransferred to the intermediate transfer belt 2 from the electrifying roller 4 and the transfer belt 3 can be transferred to the photoreceptor drum 1 and recovered by the cleaning blade 5, so that the occurrence of the defect in the image caused by the toner remaining on the transfer can be prevented. |
