PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen sensor which facilitates the formation of a diffusion chamber. SOLUTION: The limiting current-type oxygen sensor S1 is formed by providing electrode layers 12 and 13 on both sides of a solid electrolyte pellet 11 and fixing a cap 14 with a small hole 15 for diffusion on one side of the solid electrolyte pellet 11 so as to form a diffusion chamber R. In this case, land parts 18 for forming a space are provided on one side of the solid electrolyte pellet 11 or/and both sides of the jointed cap 14. By these land parts 18, it is possible to form a space for the diffusion chamber R with ease. |
