摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely measure the output light quantity of each optical chip of a solid scanning type optical writing device by a simple control. SOLUTION: An optical writing head 20 controls ON/OFF of a light by a PLZT optical, shutter module 30 formed of a number of optical shutter chips arranged in a main scanning direction X. The light quantity of each optical shutter chip is controlled by intermittently lighting the optical shutter chips so that at least the adjacent optical shutter chips are not lighted while moving a photoelectric converting sensor 72 having a slit 73a in the main scanning direction at a constant speed. For example, the optical shutter chips of odd numbers are lighted in forward going of the sensor 72 to measure the light quantity, and those of even numbers are lighted in coming to measure the light quantity in return movement.</p>
