PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flash photographing device capable of realizing flash (strobe) light emission control where the probability of appropriate exposure is enhanced without increasing the number of circuit elements. SOLUTION: This flash photographing device for camera is provided with a light emitting tube 20 for performing strobe light emission, a main capacitor 19, in which the light emitting energy of the light emitting tube 20 is stored, range-finding means 3, 7 and 9 for detecting appropriate exposure corresponding to a subject, and a charge voltage setting means for setting a charge voltage value corresponding to the light emitting energy of the appropriate exposure in the capacitor 19; and the charge voltage setting means is equipped with a 1st setting means for setting a preliminary charge voltage value to perliminarily charge in the capacitor 19 in the case of flash photographing, a 2nd setting means for setting the charge voltage value to charge the light emitting energy necessary for the appropriate exposure further in the capacitor 19 according to signals from the range-finding means 3, 7 and 9, and a decision means for deciding according to the signals from the range-finding means 3, 7 and 9 whether the setting by the 2nd setting means is performed or not. |
