[Also in Division E2] An anti-theft device for a motor vehicle comprises a tubular member 1 having a hooked portion 2 at one end for engaging the rim 3 of a steering-wheel, and a slot 4 at the other end for engaging a gear lever 5 with the knob 6 in an inaccessible position within the member 1 which is retained in position by a padlock fitting through one pair of a plurality of holes 7 on each side of the slot 4. In a second embodiment, the slot 4 opens in the opposite direction to that of Fig. 1, and the padlock passes through a pair of holes in the hooked portion 2. In both these embodiments, the member 1 may be formed from a single blank of flexible sheet material. In another embodiment, Fig. 3, the tubular member 1 has a lock 9 adapted to adjustably intermesh with serrations 12 on a bar 10 having a hook 11 for engaging the rim 3 of the steering wheel. In a modification, the hooked bar has a series of holes one of which receives a padlock which also passes through a hole in a tunnel formed on the tubular member 1 to receive the bar.
